Welcome to Runo. Runo is a relationship platform created to help people build genuine, meaningful connections in a safe, respectful and intentional environment.

Trust is fundamental to that purpose. The information you share with Runo may include information about who you are, what you are looking for and the people with whom you choose to connect. We therefore take our responsibility to protect your privacy seriously.

This Privacy Policy explains how Runo collects, uses, stores, shares and protects personal information when you use the Runo mobile application, website and related services. It also explains the choices and rights available to you regarding your personal information.

For purposes of applicable data protection law, 8th Point Labs Ltd. is the data controller responsible for personal information processed through Runo.

2. Who This Policy Applies To

This Privacy Policy applies to individuals who:

• create or maintain a Runo account
• use the Runo application or website
• join a Runo pre-launch waitlist
• communicate with Runo
• participate in surveys, promotions or research
• interact with Runo customer support
• otherwise use services provided by Runo

Runo is intended exclusively for adults aged 28 years and above. Persons under the age of 28 are not permitted to create or operate a Runo account.

3. Information We Collect

The information Runo collects depends on how you interact with the platform.

3.1 Account Information

When you register for Runo, we may collect information including:

• name
• email address
• telephone number
• date of birth
• gender
• location
• password or authentication information
• account identifiers

Some information is necessary to create and secure your account.

3.2 Profile Information

To help members understand who they may wish to connect with, Runo may allow you to provide information including:

• photographs
• biography or “About Me”
• occupation
• industry or profession
• education
• interests
• languages spoken
• relationship status or category
• relationship intentions
• preferences
• whether you have children
• whether you are open to connecting with someone who has children
• faith, where you choose to provide it
• other information voluntarily added to your profile

Some profile information may be optional. Where information is optional, you may choose not to provide it. Runo will clearly distinguish between information required to operate the service and information you may provide voluntarily.

4. Sensitive Personal Information

Some information members choose to provide may be considered sensitive personal data under applicable law. This may include information relating to matters such as religious beliefs and certain identity or verification information.

Runo will process sensitive personal data only where there is an appropriate lawful basis and where additional protections required by applicable law have been satisfied.

Where consent is relied upon, you may withdraw that consent subject to applicable law and any processing that remains necessary for another lawful purpose.

Runo does not require members to disclose sensitive information unnecessarily.

5. Information About Children of Members

Runo may allow adult members to indicate whether they have children because this information may be relevant to relationship compatibility.

Runo does not require members to upload photographs of their children or provide children’s names as part of their dating profile.

Members should avoid including information in their profile or conversations that unnecessarily identifies or compromises the privacy or safety of a child.

Information about whether a member has children will be processed only for legitimate product, compatibility and profile purposes.

6. Identity and Profile Verification

Trust and authenticity are important parts of the Runo experience. Runo may therefore offer or require verification processes.

Depending upon the verification method used, we may process:

• selfie photographs
• photographs submitted for profile verification
• government-issued identification documents
• verification status
• information necessary to establish that an account belongs to a genuine individual
• technical information associated with the verification process

Where third-party verification providers are used, they may process information on Runo’s behalf subject to contractual, confidentiality, security and data-protection requirements.

Verification information will not be used for unrelated advertising purposes.

Runo will retain verification information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, subject to applicable legal and security requirements.

7. Location Information

Runo may use location information to help members discover people within relevant geographic areas.

Depending on your device permissions and the product functionality available, this may include:

• city or general location
• approximate device location
• more precise location where expressly required and permitted

Runo should not publicly display a member’s precise real-time location.

Members may control applicable device location permissions through their device settings. Some discovery features may not function properly if location access is disabled.

8. Messages and Communications

Runo enables members to communicate with one another. This may include:

• text messages
• reactions
• virtual gifts
• call-related information
• reports or other communications made through the platform

Runo may process communications where reasonably necessary to:

• deliver the communication
• maintain platform functionality
• prevent fraud, abuse or harassment
• investigate reports
• enforce Runo’s Terms and Community Standards
• protect members
• comply with legal obligations
• maintain platform security

Access to private communications by authorised personnel will be restricted and should occur only where reasonably necessary and permitted by law.

9. Audio and Video Calls

Runo provides in-app audio and video calling functionality.

When you use these services, Runo and its technology providers may process information necessary to establish and operate the call, including:

• participating account identifiers
• date and time of the call
• call duration
• technical connection information
• call type
• Run₡ charges associated with the call
• information necessary to detect abuse or technical problems

Runo does not ordinarily record the contents of private audio or video calls.

If any recording functionality is introduced in the future, members will be clearly informed and any consent or other lawful basis required by applicable law will be obtained.

10. Run₡ and Transaction Information

Runo operates an in-platform digital credit known as Run₡.

When you purchase, receive, transfer or spend Run₡, we may process information including:

• Run₡ balance
• purchase history
• transaction history
• virtual gifts purchased or sent
• audio and video call usage
• transaction date and time
• associated account information

Payment card or bank information may be processed directly by authorised payment service providers.

Runo should not store complete payment-card credentials where these are handled directly by an authorised payment processor.

11. Subscriptions and Payments

When you purchase a Premium, VIP or other paid Runo service, we may process:

• subscription type
• subscription status
• transaction amount
• transaction reference
• payment status
• billing history
• limited information received from the payment processor

Payment providers process payment information under their own privacy and security obligations.

12. Waitlist Information

Before launch, Runo may invite interested individuals to join a waitlist.

When you join the Runo waitlist, we may collect your:

• email address
• date of registration
• referral information, where applicable
• communication preferences

Waitlist information will be used to provide launch information and relevant Runo communications.

Where Runo offers a promotional Run₡ allocation to eligible waitlist members, information relating to eligibility and redemption may also be maintained.

Including to: verify accounts; prevent fake accounts; detect scams; investigate reports; prevent harassment and abuse; detect suspicious activity; enforce Runo policies; and protect members and the platform.

Improve Runo

Including to: understand how features are used; diagnose technical problems; conduct product research; develop new features; and improve performance and reliability.

Communicate With Members

Including to send: account notifications; verification messages; security alerts; transaction confirmations; service announcements; customer-support responses; and marketing communications where permitted.

Meet Legal Obligations

Including responding to lawful regulatory, judicial or law-enforcement requirements.

Depending on the circumstances, Runo may process personal information on one or more recognised lawful bases, including:

16. How Matching and Recommendations Work

Runo may use information you provide to recommend members who may be relevant to your preferences.

Matching is intended to assist discovery. A recommendation does not represent a guarantee of compatibility, character, identity, safety or relationship success.

Where automated processing produces a decision that has legal or similarly significant effects, Runo will comply with applicable requirements governing automated decision-making.

Runo does not sell members’ personal information.

Personal information may, however, be shared with appropriate recipients where necessary to operate the service. These may include:

Information you choose to place on your profile may be visible to other eligible members according to your privacy and discovery settings.

Service providers are permitted to process personal information only for authorised purposes and subject to appropriate contractual protections.

Account deletion will ordinarily result in personal information being deleted or anonymised, subject to information Runo must legitimately retain for purposes including:

• fraud prevention

• dispute resolution
• legal compliance
• enforcement actions
• protecting the safety of other members

Deletion of an account may be irreversible.

The treatment of unused Run₡ following account deletion will be governed by the Runo Terms of Use.

Members may report inappropriate behaviour or suspected violations of Runo policies.

When a report is submitted, Runo may process relevant information necessary to:

• protect affected members
• determine whether policies were violated
• take enforcement action
• comply with applicable law

Where appropriate, enforcement may include warnings, restrictions, suspension or termination.

25. Blocking

When one member blocks another, Runo may retain information about that block to enforce the separation between the accounts and support platform safety.

The blocked member will not ordinarily be informed of the specific reason for the block.

The Runo website and related services may use cookies, software development kits and similar technologies for purposes including:

Where required, members will be provided with appropriate choices regarding non-essential technologies.
